Own keyboard layout
Hello, Smart Keyboard offers many keyboards and options, but unfortunately, for some power users or typographic enthusiastics like me, this is not enough. I use the German keyboard, and for example I miss „ or “ or an own key for ß etc etc. Because I cannot ask for every feature here (which sometime...

Pinyin mode does not put diacritics on top of vowels anymore
Hello,
the pinyin mode worked in the past, but currently (don't know since which version), it does not work anymore.
for example, I want to have the word “nǐ”, so I press ni and the ˇ key, but then I only get “niˇ”.
Can you please fix this? Thanks!

Re: Traditional Chinese
Related to this: Can you also implement Zhuyin/Bopomofo (e.g. 你 is ㄋㄧˇ)? This is almost the only input method used in Taiwan for Chinese. If you only include Pinyin, no one in Taiwan will/can use it. It is also important that some words have different pronounciations in Mainland China and Taiwan, e....

Hello, usually, in “good” typography, more sophisticated punctuation marks than the standard ", ', - etc. are used: “These are the correct quotation marks for English, and that’s a correct apostroph” „These are German style quotes“ or »these«. «These are French style quotes» In Openoffice, MS W...

Re: Chinese Pinyin
Ok, I would like to download it, but the link seems to be broken. Can you correct it? Thanks for the work! Showing the accents is actually better than having the numbers, I just didn’t think of it :) Edit: I checked it out (if the file name is beta.apk, it works), and it works really great! I only f...

Chinese Pinyin
Hello! Could you maybe add a Chinese Pinyin layout? This would not be to write Chinese characters , but to write in Pinyin. For example, not 這是拼音, but Zhè shì Pīnyīn . Currently, this does not seem to be possible, and in any way, it is not quite practical to select the accented letters. The requirem...

Hello, In no latin language " is the default quotation mark. There are different variants, for example: “…” in English « … » in French „…“ or »…« in German ”…” in Swedish „…” in Dutch etc. Of course, the " is prevalent on the computer, but this is because of no reason (aside that Microsoft...

Re: German: Change order of # and ß
Well, as I said, I can only speak for myself (but I also asked my brother about his opinion): ß should really be the primary choice. I especially use the German + äöü keyboard so that I can type German without a dictionary (I would never chat or write sms in standard German. This is just weird. But ...

Re: German: Change order of # and ß
Hello, Well, I can only speak for myself, but I really think that ß is more important and common than #. After all, ß is a letter, # is not. It is not as common as äöü, but it is a letter of the German alphabet after all. I really, really think, ß should be the first choice. I would not advise chang...

Re: Unicode Input
Well, the thing is that not everything in Unicode is really worth a keyboard layout. Some characters are just... well :D Even though they may be nice to input sometimes. (A problem could be that the android font does not support the character, but if you root the phone and have a different font, you...
