I agree this is exactly the kind of issue I often have when typing. I wish there was a way to make the space bar a bit taller then the rest of the keys.

it would be really great if the suggestion bar could be resized like the keys can. I've got my keyboard shrunk down pretty thin to conserve screen space and now the suggestion bar seems huge. Thanks.

I get this Problem all the time on my HTC Thunderbolt. An easy solution is to just turn the phone and go into full Qwerty mode when you're typing a complex word. another option is to type the name/word, press space then backspace, then 's. when you backspace into a word it turns off the auto-suggest. As I explained here , "its" will never be replaced by "it's" by the smart dictionary, as "its" is a valid word. Use a custom autotext if you want to replace "its" by "it's" permanently I use the Letter 'C' associated with the apostrophe as a trigger...

Thanks this is great! I also just noticed the "move cursor with Volume button," which is an amazing feature for when the arrows are turned off. is this new or did i just overlook it before?

I'll second that one Rosie, also would be cool to have a feature to have the suggestion row be always on, or always off. Sometimes I like to start typing with one of the punctuations marks I've put up there and I have to type a letter than backspace to get rid of it to make the punctuation shorcits ...

But that's not an easily toggled change, if I understand you correctly. But that does remind me of another nit. I wish we could have numeric values on that key height dialog!
