Is "English for Smart Keyboard" installed? Can you check your phone logs (with "adb logcat" command or "Log Collector" app) to see if there are errors when you start typing in a field?

Have you changed the input method by doing a long press in a text field, then choosing "Input Method" in the menu?

You have big number keys in the "Arrows" layout. You can get it with the option "Show arrows" (then you have an extra "<>" key when you press "123"), or with a swipe gesture with "Toggle arrows" option

Do you mean the suggestion bar doesn't appear, or only the typed word is suggested?

Does it work better in version 4.6.0? Similar issues have been fixed

Everything is backed up, it's actually the same as the builtin Backup/Restore feature of Smart Keyboard.
