How to Port Forward your IP Camera

Post by julia002 »

There are many different methods to reveal the digital outdoor IP camera for the outside world.
The way is always to assign a static outdoor wireless camera straight to you got it.

Many people however, do not possess this choice. We now have one particular IP address which gets assigned to the DSL/Cable router.

Therein scenario we'll assume the person carries a DSL or Cable hitting the ground with 1 Static IP address.

The perfect solution is reasonably simple.... PORT FORWARDING!!!!!

All network cameras have a very internal web-server.
Automagically it's usually port 80.

*If you're planning on opening you guessed it-your camera towards outside world
you might like to change this port number, since some ISP's
are already seen to block port 80.

Okay, let's begin.

1. Be sure the digital camera incorporates a static "internal" IP address. (example 192.168.1.30)
2. Access the administration settings of the router. (usually 192.168.1.1)
3. Try to find "Forwarding" or "Applications and Gaming"
(Here you will notice a "port range" table that will be blank)
4. You have got to name the custom application that you are creating. (Refer to it as Camera1 or whatever you decide to like)
5. You will need to type in the start and end port range. In such cases it's going to be 80 for both.
6. Next , be sure to specify the protocol. Select TCP.
7. You are now should specify the interior IP address on the camera which is why the forwarding will require place. (192.168.1.30)
8. Lastly put a checkmark inside the box for "enable".
