The Swedish language has an 'é' character in it. It is mostly used in loan words from French, such as idé (idea) and armé (army) of which the Swedish language has a fair number, and for a good number of personal names. Thus if a long press of an 'e' also yielded an 'é' it would be very useful for Swedish speakers.
