Keyboard pop up delay

In many cases thekeyboard doesn't automatically pop up when it should. Stock keyboard on my Xoom pops up as soon as a keyboard entry is required.

Takes an extra step to select the field and then the keyboard comes up.

Difficult to tell you why it happens without a precise way of reproducing the problem. What you could do is enable debug logs in the advanced settings and check in your phone logs if Smart Keyboard is really woken up by Android when it should.
