Autotext and % (percent sign) problem

Post by kiwibird »

First of all: great job with Smart Keyboard, and the very useful autotext feature. I use it to replace my great Keytext software on Windows. Developer(s): be assured you have a good bunch of enthusiasts supporting you.

Autotext seems to have a problem with the % (percent) sign. The text

Code: Select all

discount 20% for
becomes

Code: Select all

discount 20for
once pasted with autotext into any app.

Hopefully this can be fixed soon?

Or is there a workaround?

Hmm.. I'm not having his issue. Typed in exactly what you said and it's working fine. Can you check your custom auto text and see if that has accidentally been added?

% is an escape character; if you want to display %, you need to put %% (this is in the user's guide ;) )
