Smileys and hardware keyboard

Any idea how to get Smiley pop-up window using hardware keyboard?
Long press on enter just repeats the new line.

I don't see it as a bug as this feature is not supposed to be implemented ;)

Oh, I see...I've put it in the wrong thread then - should be raised as a request for new feature :-) <-that Smiley was typed with a great hassle and effort WITHOUT option to longpress Enter key on hardware keyboard ;)
