Think I found this bug which I can only replicate in gtalk and just now in this forum while writing this message. When activating double space period it seems to turn off by itself after an hour or so and no longer adds the period. Activating the advanced option for making enter an input button also deactivates dsp. To reactivate one must disable and reenable dsp for it to come back briefly and work on gtalk. For things like email notes whatsapp dsp works fine.
