The automatic capitalization of the first word fails with the hard keyboard on my Droid 2.
I have confirmed the behavior with two applications, with Google Voice as well as in a text field for webmail on the Dolphin Browser.
With the Droid 2 slide-out keyboard closed, if I click in one of the text fields to type a text or compose a message, the soft keyboard automatically appears with the all letters capitalized. As soon as I type the first letter, it capitalizes and the soft keyboard turns to all lower case letters. This is the desired behavior.
But with the hard (slide-out) keyboard open, the first letter of the first word does not capitalize.
The behavior is repeatable.
Sorry I was not able to submit this using the bugtracker, but for some reason my attempts at registering keep generating errors and I am not able to register. Thanks for any help.
