On installing Smart Keyboard trial on my Samsung Galaxy S2 I got the following warning:
"This input method from Smart Keyboard Trial may collect all the text you type, including passwords, creditcard numbers, and other personal data, Continue?"
Is this true? What guarantee do I have that this will NOT happen?

This is a message put forth by the Android system. It will appear on any keyboard but the stock one.

Smart Keyboard will not steal any passwords or personal data- note how the Android message says:
