Installation no problem but can not find the keyboard

I installed the free version of the keyboard and have the correct english version of the dictionary installed as well.
When I navigate to settings-language&keyboard I do not get an option to turn on the smart keyboard. It is not there but my system says it is installed (market says it is installed).
Restarted twice.
Can anybody help?
